The US Constitution puts an age requirement, a native born requirement, and a non-felon requirement on the job of US President. That's a reasonable requirement. In picking out employees, I also have some preferences, but they are not as strict as that. I'm trying to get a job done. I'm looking for a younger team, to intimately (tight knit team) travel with me on the road in order to pass down my knowledge and techniques to much younger people. I feel, because of my zen ways, that it's better all around to work with a small team than to expand to a more typical office thing that we assume the president is using from those scenes we see in the oval office.
The fact is that the congress does not need the president's signature to pass a bill. And the ceremonial responsibilities of the president are not a requirement. I would be there to do a job and I have a personal life.
My philosophy is that the president is more effective as a leader than a manager. But there is certainly a management part of that gig. It seems like a radical change to be implementing, but that doesn't mean that I need a big team to do it on my end.
It seems like a lot of responsibility for such a young team, but again, I don't see it that way. Yes, I'm looking for people with skills, but ears and a clear heart are the most important qualities. I'm an engineer and don't work well with deception. Engineering work is crazy difficult without added deception. Deception can make you reach deeper for truths though. It's good to understand the limits of language.
